This was a design esthetics project from term 2 to create kinetic typography from an audio clip. The challenge was to work through and understand the creative process from beginning to end. From mind mapping the ideas, to rough thumbnails, to mock-ups, then the final product. The technical challenge was to create this in a program we were unfamiliar with.

I decided to chose an audio clip from the ‘Pursuit of Happiness’, it is a great movie and a personal favorite. The audio I chose really spoke to me about the struggles we face in our adult reality while trying to motivate and inspire our children. Yes, this was a challenging assignment and my first time using After Effects, but after listening to the clip over and over I chose the “Go Get It” option.
