New Media + Java = Joy

Melanie is a recent graduate of the New Media Design and Web Development Program at BCIT. She has explored the creative side of new media and developed skills in digital illustration, web design, information architecture, and caffeine consumption.

Melanie is no stranger to the media industry and has had the opportunity to develop and manage campaigns and strategies for a variety of clients throughout the years. This foundation led her to seek out additional education that has enhanced her current experience and further developed her creative skills.

The creative process and collaborating with others is very rewarding for Melanie. Her optimistic outlook, enthusiastic attitude, and eagerness to learn have been a driving force throughout her life. She is looking forward to telling a visual story and engaging users to evoke interaction in the new media industry.

Melanie spends her virtual life with her Mac and her reality with her family and shiny expresso machine in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
